So, come early and do some holiday shopping, partake in some of the free hot cocoa and cookies, and let them create a gift. And then sit in on a super fun holiday story. Once you hear a story, you will want to do it again and again.

Around 6 p.m. on Sunday, a festive motorcade of cars arrived, with Santa Claus portrayed by Jim as well as elves and well-wishers, who sang and called out warm holiday wishes. Residents, family and staff stood outside for this joyful holiday surprise. To see the full story, visit the AHRC Blog.

Family members of the residents definitely felt the holiday cheer. Typically, Amos Avenue would have a big holiday party with karaoke, food and fun, but due to the pandemic could not this year. Elf Tag was an opportunity to celebrate in a safe and socially distanced way.

Lines of whimsical elves with trees, ornaments & treats shine on this 'Fa La La La La' Christmas ready-to-hang pennant flag. With a dark green background and colorful details this little charmer will take your holiday cheer up several notches!

The Help an Elf Holiday Gift Program celebrates its 28th year in 2022! Coordinated by Student Affairs Programs and the Office of Student Affairs, this program provides assistance for currently enrolled, full-time APSU students with holiday shopping by providing gifts for their children. Recipients of the holiday gifts will be children of income eligible APSU students who are currently enrolled in 12 or more credit hours, and who are not participating in any off-campus holiday gift programs.

Adopters have made this program possible for nearly three decades and have included APSU departments, faculty, staff, alumni, athletic teams and student organizations, and donations from local businesses. Eligible families are assigned to adopters based on the number of children requested and adopters purchase gifts for each child based on gift suggestions provided by the parent. Thank you to all our adopters for supporting the program and making the holidays brighter for APSU students and their families!

Throughout the past 28 years, the Help an Elf program has provided holiday gifts to over 1,200 children of APSU students through the unwavering support of the APSU campus community. Student Affairs staff coordinate the confidential adoption of income-eligible student families by APSU organizations, departments and groups, as well as individual faculty and staff. Many campus partners have made it a tradition to adopt an elf family and coordinate shopping, wrapping and delivery of gifts to the office just in time for the holiday. The program originated with the APSU student service organization, ProjectServe, and their advisor, Barbara Phillips, former Dean of Students.

The postage labels are dispensed at self-service kiosks installed in many post offices across the country. Post offices tend to load the preprinted holiday postage labels at different times, but the official load-in date this year was Nov. 15.

The United States Postal Service created its first full-color holiday-themed vended postage labels in 2012. With the exception of 2019, the labels have been issued annually sometime between mid-October and early November.

This fabulous holiday ale was first developed and brewed in 1999 at the Bethlehem Brew Works under original head brewer (and co-owner) Jeff Fegley. The Fegley family thought it was appropriate to create a spiced beer to help us celebrate in the City.

Pours a deep chestnut ruby with a creamy tan head. The aroma is sweet with harmonic spices led by clove, then cinnamon and nutmeg. The rich body has a fine carbonation that smooths and hides the high ABV, wrapping up oh, so much holiday spice. Finishes very dry, leaving a lingering gingerbread cookie note.

Part of what unites each and every Levy team member is the passion with which we serve our communities. It is a year-round mission to give back to those in need of a lift, and at no time does that shine brighter than the holidays.

For the past 25 years, the project has launched after Thanksgiving, when dozens of Levy team members head to the store in search gifts on the wish list of hundreds of young girls and boys. Many more team members spend shifts wrapping and boxing gifts for delivery to schools around the city. And, for the past several years, Project Great Elf has concluded with a holiday celebration and warm meal, served with love, at Little Village Academy.
